terms of use

wimzi, by Shrub Software LLC. Last updated 9 September 2026.

These are the rules for using wimzi. They're short because the app is. By creating an account or using wimzi you agree to them and to the privacy policy.

who can use wimzi

You need to be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you're using wimzi on behalf of someone else, you're responsible for what they do with it.

your account

You sign in with Apple. One account per person; don't share it, and don't pretend to be someone you're not. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from the you tab, which removes everything you own as described in the privacy policy.

your content

Pings, notes, chat lines, your name, handle and picture are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people your settings allow, which is what makes the app work, and nothing more. We don't use your content for advertising or to train anything. Content is deleted seven days after a ping ends.

what's not allowed

wimzi is a friends-only app and it stays pleasant only if everyone keeps it that way. Don't post or send:

Also don't try to break, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or access anyone else's account or data.

reports, blocks and enforcement

You can report any ping or chat line and block any person. Reports are read by a person, usually within a day. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour: we may remove content, restrict features, or close accounts, without notice, when we believe these terms have been broken. If your account is closed you may not create another.

meeting in person

wimzi helps friends find each other, but it can't vouch for anyone. Use the same judgement you would with any plan. Arrival estimates and "on my way" positions are approximate and depend on your phone and its map data; don't rely on them for anything where being wrong matters.

the service

wimzi is provided as is. We'll do our best to keep it running and to tell you about big changes, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or the same as it is today, and we may change or shut it down. To the fullest extent the law allows, Shrub Software LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of wimzi, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, which for a free app is nothing. Nothing here limits rights that the law says can't be limited.

changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top and, for anything that matters, tell you in the app. Using wimzi after a change means you accept it.

law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
